Terms of Service

1. Who These Terms Apply To

These Terms of Service apply to all users of the Galii platform — customers placing orders, vendors listing their shops, and riders making deliveries. By downloading or using the Galii app, you agree to these terms.

2. The Galii Platform

Galii is a technology platform that connects customers with local kirana shops and delivery riders. Galii is not a shop, restaurant, or delivery company itself. We are a marketplace that facilitates transactions between independent vendors and customers, fulfilled by independent riders.

3. Your Account

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Galii
• Your account is tied to your phone number and OTP — keep it secure
• You are responsible for all activity on your account
• One account per phone number. Creating multiple accounts may result in suspension

4. Orders and Payments

• All prices are set by individual vendors and may vary from other platforms
• You confirm the vendor's quoted price before an order is placed
• Payment is charged at the time of order confirmation
• Delivery fees are shown at checkout and are non-refundable unless Galii cancels the order
• Galii does not guarantee item availability — vendors may substitute or exclude unavailable items

5. Cancellations and Refunds

• You may cancel an order before the vendor begins packing
• Once a rider is assigned, cancellations may attract a partial cancellation fee
• Refunds for legitimate issues (wrong items, damaged goods) are processed within 3–5 business days
• Refund requests must be raised within 24 hours of delivery via the Help section

6. Vendor Terms

• Vendors must provide accurate product information and pricing
• Vendors are responsible for food safety and proper packaging of orders
• Zero-commission period is 6 months from the date of first order on the platform
• Post the zero-commission period, platform fees apply as communicated at onboarding
• Galii reserves the right to remove vendors with consistently poor ratings or policy violations

7. Referral Program

• Every customer receives a unique referral code that can be shared with friends and family
• Rewards are credited only after the referred customer's first order is successfully delivered
• The referrer receives 2 free deliveries; the referred customer receives 50% off delivery fees on their next 2 orders
• Each referral code may only be redeemed once per new customer account
• Galii reserves the right to revoke rewards obtained through fraudulent referrals, duplicate accounts, or abuse of the program

8. Rider Terms

• Riders are independent contractors, not Galii employees
• Riders must maintain valid driving licences and vehicle documents
• Riders are responsible for safe delivery and professional conduct
• A refundable security deposit of ₹1,000 is collected at registration to protect against lost or damaged orders
• The security deposit is refunded in full when a rider's account is closed in good standing, minus any deductions for verified order losses or damages caused by the rider
• Earnings are calculated based on completed deliveries and bonuses as communicated in the Rider app
• Fraudulent delivery claims may result in account suspension, recovery of payments, and forfeiture of the security deposit

9. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

• Use Galii for any illegal purpose
• Place fake orders or attempt to defraud vendors or riders
• Harass, abuse, or threaten any other user of the platform
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or misuse the Galii app
• Create multiple accounts to exploit offers or promotions

10. Limitation of Liability

Galii is a marketplace platform. We are not liable for the quality of products sold by vendors, delays caused by factors outside our control (weather, traffic, strikes), or losses arising from incorrect information provided by users.

Our total liability to you in any circumstance shall not exceed the value of the order in question.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in New Delhi, India.
